Yulu Burri Ba
Yulu-Burri Ba has been providing health-related services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Redland Shire for more than 25 years and became incorporated as Yulu-Burri-Ba in 1994. During that time, Yulu-Burri-Ba has established a community controlled health service providing multiple community care facilities and services. Health Clinics are located in North Stradbroke Island, Capalaba and Wynumn. These clinics provide the local communities with access to General practitioners and various Allied Health Services. ABT proudly supports Yulu-Burri-Ba, via its CEO who works as a non-remunerated Independent Director on the board of YBB.
North Stradbroke Island Aboriginal & Islanders Housing Coop Society
The housing coop is a ‘not for profit organisation’, which provides affordable rental accommodation for the Quandamooka members of the coop. In addition, the coop runs a “day respite care” centre, as well as residential aged care. ABT provides equipment and ongoing service support to each area of the Coop.
Saltwater Murris Quandamooka Art gallery – North Stradbroke Island
The gallery assists artists of the Noonucal, Nughie and Gorenpul tribes of Quandamooka to develop and promote their culture through art, sing, and dance. The artists are the storytellers of the Quandamooka people. Through art, they hope to increase the understanding of Indigenous culture and people. ABT provides equipment and ongoing service support to the Gallery.
